The California Highway Patrol is seeking public assistance in finding the hit-and-run driver and truck that killed a pedestrian Thursday evening on California 67.
The man was struck shortly before 6 p.m. by a truck that failed to stop, a CHP spokeswoman said. The vehicle was described as a white, 1- to 3-ton truck, with one headlight broken and with front-end damage. The accident occurred in the northbound lane, about three miles south of Poway Road.
Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call the CHP at 268-2276.
