The conviction of Dino Ciccarelli for assaulting Toronto defenseman Luke Richardson during an NHL game on Jan. 6, 1988, was upheld by a district judge in Toronto, who also upheld the $1,000 fine and one-day prison sentence given to Ciccarelli after his conviction in August 1988.
