From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Investigators unearthed four bodies on property near Kirtland, Ohio, once occupied by a religious cult, bringing to five the number of bodies discovered at the site in two days. The bodies were discovered after authorities received an anonymous tip, said Fire Chief Richard Martincic. None of the victims had been identified. The property had been rented by Jeffrey Lundgren, a defrocked lay minister of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, said Dale Luffman, president of the church’s local congregation. Luffman said Lundgren had left the church to form what was known as “the Lundgren cult.” Luffman would not say why Lundgren lost his ministerial credentials or what the cult’s religious practices were.
