A rally will be held Saturday for supporters of Share Our Selves, a Costa Mesa-based charity organization facing eviction by the city. The agency--which provides food, shelter, clothing and financial assistance to the needy--hopes to persuade the city not to evict it from the Rea Community Center on Jan. 15. The Costa Mesa City Council, in a vote last week, said it would not spend city money to help SOS relocate and denied a request by agency officials to extend its stay at the community center. The 20-year-old charity organization helps out more than 60,000 families a year. The rally will be held at the SOS facilities.

A district committee recommended last month that the school, which has the lowest enrollment in the district, be closed, and its students divided among three other schools.

The meeting will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the King of Glory Church at 10280 Slater Ave. in Fountain Valley.
