JERUSALEM — Israel has jailed a soldier announcer for saying on Army Radio that the nation should pull out of the occupied territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, military officials said Tuesday.
Announcer Gil Komar was reportedly sentenced to 14 days in a military prison for breaking a regulation that prohibits soldiers from expressing a political opinion in a public forum.
Having played the popular song “Everything Will Be All Right” on his radio show, Komar said: “Everything will be all right if we leave the territories.”
