Long Beach : Child Abuse Expert Resigns From Cedar House
Karen L. Cauffman, a well-known child abuse expert, has announced her resignation after five years on the staff of Cedar House, a Long Beach center for the treatment of child abuse.
Cauffman, who has spoken widely on the treatment methods she developed at the center, said she is leaving to develop a private practice. Cauffman’s specialty is child sexual abuse victims and adults molested as children.
She will be developing her private practice, Cauffman said, at The Counseling Cove in Seal Beach. Her resignation is effective Jan. 18.
