Malathion Spraying Canceled Because of Fog
Citing dense fog that moved in over the Southland, county agricultural officials canceled Wednesday night’s spraying of the pesticide Malathion in the battle against the Medfly.
Helicopters were expected to cover a 53-square-mile area over Rosemead and Monrovia and parts of Pasadena, San Marino, Arcadia, Temple City, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Monterey Park, Montebello, South El Monte and El Monte.
An agriculture department representative said the spraying will be rescheduled.
