The date of a congressional hearing in San Diego to discuss the city’s requirement to upgrade its sewage treatment facility has been changed to Feb. 9, a spokeswoman for Rep. Jim Bates (D-San Diego) said Thursday.

The hearing by the House subcommittee on water resources had been set for Feb. 13, but the spokeswoman said it was changed Thursday; no further changes are expected. The hearing is tentatively scheduled to be held in City Council chambers.
