While “Winging” it, we had to ask Kopelson about his hiring of Young, who has a rep for being difficult, not to mention colorful--recall all the publicity last year involving her legal wrangle with former flame James Woods.

Kopelson admitted he had “a lot of second thoughts” about using the actress. “But I decided to take a chance because I thought she’d be an asset to the picture.”

As it turned out, “she’s taking the matter very seriously. She’s been an absolute professional and she hasn’t stepped out of line once. And, speaking as a man and as a producer, she is very sexually hot on screen.”

So hot that Kopelson plans to trim a Cage-Young love scene to earn the movie a PG rating. A full-steam version will be used in foreign markets.
