Today is Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. The following will be closed: GOVERNMENT: Los Angeles City and County offices; state and federal offices; all Post Offices. COURTS: Los Angeles Superior Courts; Los Angeles Municipal Courts; State Courts of Appeal; U.S. Courts. SCHOOLS: All public schools. BANKS: Most banks and savings and loan institutions. EVENTS: The 5th Annual Kingdom Day Parade will be held today at 11 a.m., starting at Crenshaw and Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed to traffic and parking from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
