TUSTIN : Lighting at Shooting Site Will Be Studied
- Share via
The city has hired a consulting company to study the security lighting in Magnolia Tree Park, where a teen-ager was shot and wounded in October while playing basketball.
The Oct. 20 shooting disrupted the peaceful Peppertree neighborhood. The Peppertree Homeowners Assn. requested that the city enforce a 10 p.m. curfew in the park and study the lighting there.
RWR Pascoe Engineering Inc. of Costa Mesa will meet with the homeowners and visit the park, at the corner of Figtree Drive and Alder Lane, and evaluate whether the lighting meets city standards. If not, the company will suggest how to improve it.
