Spare Evergreens at Christmastime

Share

Christmas trees need to go.

Fifty percent of the trees are never purchased. These trees are then thrown away. We are paying about $30 for a Christmas tree that has been stored in a freezer, and has been dead for months, too. Live Christmas trees are fire hazards and have caught numerous houses on fire.

The tree that was in your house last Christmas could be in the ground producing oxygen and replenishing our forests. Instead, these trees are in dumps, which are already overcrowded. I feel the solution is to buy artificial trees. They are economical, safe, and ecologically sound. Today you can buy an artificial tree that looks so real you can’t tell the difference.
