After winning four consecutive games--all on the road--to maintain a perfect conference record, the UCLA women’s basketball team faces in Stanford perhaps its toughest challenge of the season thus far.

The Cardinal, ranked No. 2 in the nation behind Louisiana Tech, comes to Pauley Pavilion for tonight’s 7 p.m. game with a perfect record, 13-0 overall and 4-0 in the Pacific 10. Stanford has beaten its opponents by an nation-high average of 29.6 points, including a 40-point blowout of No. 7 Washington. The Bruins are 8-5 overall, 3-0 in the Pac-10.

Senior guard Jennifer Azzi leads five Stanford players averaging in double figures at 16.3 points a game. Azzi also averages a team-high 6.2 assists. Freshman Val Whiting, a 6-foot-3 center, leads the Cardinal on the boards, averaging eight rebounds a game.
