ORANGE : Record Cocaine Bust Also Nets Guns, Cash
In the city’s largest cocaine bust ever, Orange police announced Friday the seizure of more than 70 kilograms of the drug, four handguns and $500,000 in cash as a result of a monthlong narcotics investigation.
Police arrested two suspects in connection with the investigation that originated in Orange and led them to houses in Glendale and Century City, and a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles, Orange Police Sgt. Art Romo said.
“It’s the biggest coke seizure we’ve ever had,” he said.
Romo declined to release the names of the suspects, whom he identified as Colombian men.
He said the information might hamper the ongoing investigation.
Burbank and Glendale police helped serve search warrants at the three locations Thursday night, Romo said.
