A San Antonio judge extended the terms of former San Antonio Spur guard George Gervin’s probation, sparing Gervin an arrest on probation violation charges.
County Court-at-Law Judge Tony Ferro had issued a warrant for Gervin’s arrest on Friday after learning that Gervin had left the country Jan. 14 to play for the Spanish Basketball Assn. It was a violation of Gervin’s probation on his October drunken driving conviction.
Gervin left Spain Sunday and appeared at a brief hearing before Ferro Monday morning.
