Fairfax : $2,000 for Graffiti Cleanup
The Westinghouse Foundation has donated $2,000 to help pay for graffiti cleanup along Fairfax Boulevard.
The money was presented last week in response to an appeal by Vitalize Fairfax, a neighborhood group made up of area volunteer groups, developers and elected officials.
“We wanted to do something that would benefit not just the merchants but the community at large,” said Willie D. Hall, who presented the check on behalf of the foundation. Hall recently retired as director of community relations for the 7 Up-Royal Crown bottling companies, which are owned by Westinghouse.
