An Oceanside man who left his girlfriend’s twin boys at the Del Mar Inn last March was sentenced Thursday to four years in state prison.
Probation was denied for Charles Thomas McCoy, 28, by San Diego Superior Court Judge Jesus Rodriguez, who also fined him $200. McCoy pleaded guilty in November to two counts of child endangerment. Dorothy DeSimone, 26, of Oceanside, mother of the boys, was released from jail just before Christmas after serving seven months of a one-year sentence. DeSimone also pleaded guilty to child endangerment, and her probation prohibits contact with McCoy.
The boys, now 3 1/2 years old, are in a foster home.
