Inmate Climbs Fence, Escapes
A inmate at the Los Colinas county jail climbed a fence and escaped early Sunday, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
The escapee, Donald Carl Harris, 29, in custody for allegedly writing bad checks, was seen going over the jail’s perimeter fence at about 6:45 a.m. He was pursued by deputies, assisted by a helicopter, but they failed to find him.
Harris was last seen near the intersection of Cottonwood and Buena Vista avenues.
