West Palmdale Homes
The Capri Series, a tract of 93 houses by California Community Builders, opens today in the 75-acre Montera master-planned community in west Palmdale.
Twenty-eight three- and four-bedroom single-family houses with 1,676 to 2,148 square feet are offered in the first phase of Capri. The houses are priced from $169,995 to $201,995 and will be available for late spring move-ins.
The three one- and two-story plans are on lots averaging 7,000 square feet and feature two or three baths, three-car garages and nine exterior treatments. When fully developed, Montera will have three tracts totaling 256 houses.
Three furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Towncenter Drive and 30th Street West, reached from the westbound Avenue P exit of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
75 Encino Apartments
Encino Garden, a 75-unit garden apartment building, opens today and is showing models daily, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Encino.
The project, built by M. David Paul Enterprises and Gregory Adler, features one-, two- and three-bedroom Mediterranean-style units of 750 to 1,400 square feet.
Rental rates range from $895 to $1,700 a month. Move-ins are scheduled for February.
Ceilings are 24 feet high, and units include laundry hook-ups, fireplaces, walk-in closets, microwave oven, private decks and balconies, and oak kitchen cabinets. Units are centrally heated and cooled.
There are private storage areas and a lap pool; guest parking is on site.
Models are located at 15506 Moorpark St., at the southeast corner of Moorpark Street and Firmament Avenue, reached from the Sepulveda Boulevard exit of the San Diego (450) Freeway.

Valencia at Rancho del Oro, a 141-unit single-family development by Douglas Allred Co., opens today in Oceanside with 13 3- and 4-bedroom houses priced from $190,000 to $220,000.
The houses are offered in four floor plans, ranging from 1,676 to 2,141 square feet, with 2 1/2 to 3 baths. First move-ins are scheduled for March.
Four furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 1542 Corte Roberto, reached from the eastbound California 78 exit of the San Diego (5) Freeway.
