Man Fleeing Police Killed in Car Crash
A speeding motorist being chased by police was killed when his car crashed into parked vehicles in Panorama City early Monday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The pursuit began about 3:30 a.m. near Kester Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard when police sighted the speeding auto. It ended about three minutes later when the car slammed into three parked cars at about 70 m.p.h., ejecting the driver, Steven Daniels, 25, of Van Nuys, police said.
Daniels was pronounced dead at Panorama Community Hospital, officers said. Police were not involved in the collision.
