Video Station Bans Public Enemy: Canada’s all-music video station has banned all videos by the rap group Public Enemy, which has been under fire for what is perceived as anti-Semitism in lyrics on its latest record, “Welcome to the Terrordome,” and in past statements by the group’s former self-styled “minister of information,” Professor Griff. John Martin, director of music programming for MuchMusic, said: “We’re not comfortable with promoting an act with the kind of anti-Semitism this band promotes. Our position is that we choose not to play their music.”
