Detectives are circulating photographs of an “extremely dangerous” parolee suspected of brutally stabbing an 18-year-old high school student in a motel room.
The body of Roberta Marie Mosenthiem was found by a maid at the Chateau Motel, 6719 Sepulveda Blvd., about noon Monday, Los Angeles police said.
The student at the continuation Jack London High School had been stabbed repeatedly, Detective Jim Vojtecky said.
Christopher Michael Rowland, 21, an acquaintance of the victim, was wanted for questioning, Vojtecky said. Rowland, a transient who has lived in Camarillo and Lancaster, should be considered “extremely dangerous,” he said.
Rowland was released on parole two months ago from the California Institution for Men at Chino after serving four years for assault, under jurisdiction of the California Youth Authority and later as an adult, police said.
