Bradley’s Daughter Gets Jail for Drunken Driving
Phyllis Bradley, daughter of Mayor Tom Bradley, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge and was sentenced to 60 days in County Jail.
Bradley, 44, was ordered to surrender March 9 to begin serving her jail term. Besides ordering her to jail, Municipal Court Commissioner Mitchell Green sentenced her to work with a Caltrans crew for 30 days and to undergo alcohol counseling for one year.
Bradley was arrested Dec. 15 on suspicion of drunk driving after she was stopped by a police motorcycle officer for allegedly making an illegal U-turn on Pico Boulevard near Bronson Street in the Mid-Wilshire area.
Green also fined Bradley $1,000 and placed her on five years’ informal probation. The commissioner also restricted her driver’s license so that she may only drive to and from work and her counseling sessions.
