I believe an apology to the entire black community from Howard Rosenberg and the Los Angeles Times for the racist remarks made in the article is warranted.
Is Rosenberg stating that blacks with large families are less intelligent, uneducated, drug abusing, baby-making idiots? Is Rosenberg insinuating the problems of drug abuse, teen-age pregnancies and declining educational achievement in our society are the sole possession and creation of African-Americans? Only a racist would make such an ignorant statement and proclaim it to be a “truth.”
Rosenberg is sadly mistaken if this “truth” is his interpretation of what civil rights leaders and others have been speaking of when they refer to poverty and despair being passed down through the generations.
