EAST BERLIN —
Henry Maske, the 1988 Olympic and 1989 world champion, will be the first East German fighter to turn professional, according to the fight manager who said he will handle the light heavyweight’s career.
Wilfried Sauderland said Maske will make his debut June 2 in Duesseldorf, a couple of days after being discharged from the East German army.
No opponent has been selected.
