Police were seeking leads Tuesday in the Monday evening slaying of the manager of an Inglewood supermarket, who was shot and killed by three gunmen during a holdup.
Younis Awadallah, 42, of Torrance, was shot in the head about 8:30 p.m. Monday inside City Farm Market at the border of Inglewood and the unincorporated Lennox area, police said. He died two hours later at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital.
Police said the three men ran from the store with an undetermined amount of cash.
Although there were several other workers and customers in the market at the time of the robbery, police said they did not offer descriptions of the robbers.
A worker said the store has not had a problem with holdups in the past.
