Jeff Gaulton has joined Bill Silva Presents...

Jeff Gaulton has joined Bill Silva Presents as talent buyer. He will be responsible for booking musical acts for the rock promoter’s Southwestern U.S. markets and for developing new artists in Phoenix.

For 10 years, Gaulton was a promoter and co-owner of the Bacchanal night club in Clairemont.

Under Gaulton’s management, the Bacchanal went from booking one rock band a month, to showcasing seven live concerts a week. By the time Gaulton left the Bacchanal, the club was booking more than 15 national acts each month, including Tracy Chapman, Ray Charles, the Psychedelic Furs and B.B. King.

“The first Friday night I worked at the Bacchanal, only 10 people walked through the door,” said Gaulton. “I wondered what I had gotten myself into.” Last year, the night club grossed $2 million, and was recognized by Performance Magazine as one of the top night clubs of its kind in the country.

In his new position, Gaulton is looking forward to developing new artists, bringing them up from the club level to the sports arena level.

“I like the vibrations of someone working out his gig,” Gaulton said. “I love seeing bands for the first time, seeing their energy and their potential. I want to be able to take a young artist and build him right along to a sports arena artist.”
