Leticia Hernandez, missing from her Oceanside home since December, has been seen for a second time in Florida, said Bob George spokesman for the Oceanside Police Department.

Police also obtained a description of another woman who may be with the couple that have been sighted across the South with the little girl.

The latest sighting was in Branford, Fla., on Feb. 5, just three days after she was seen at a service station off Florida 98 in Panama City, George said.

The descriptions of the white man and the woman, and the car matched those given by previous witnesses, George said. Another woman was also seen with the couple, he said. She is also white, and has curly, shoulder-length brown, graying hair.

Branford is about 160 miles northeast of Panama City.

George said that Branford is also the site of many campgrounds and swamps. Volunteers have distributed flyers bearing pictures of the girl and composite drawings of her presumed abductors throughout the campsites, he said.

Local news media and law enforcement agencies have been alerted, George said. He added that the Oceanside Police Department has transmitted the flyers throughout Florida. “We’ve faxed the daylights out of our fax machine.”

The Southland Corp., which owns the 7-Eleven stores, has also posted flyers in its locations throughout the South, George said.
