Gulfstream Adds a $200,000 Prep Race for Triple Crown

HALLANDALE, Fla. —
Gulfstream Park will hold a $200,000 Triple Crown prep race April 7 in the hopes of forestalling the northward migration of top 3-year-olds now training at the track.
The 1 1/8-mile Preview Stakes will be held three weeks after the Florida Derby, set for March 17 at Gulfstream. The Kentucky Derby, the first of the Triple Crown races, will be May 5.
