A public hearing will be held at noon Monday in the City Council chamber at Long Beach City Hall, 333 W. Ocean Blvd., to consider changes in eight bus routes run by Long Beach Transit.

The changes are proposed to make the routes compatible with the Los Angeles-Long Beach light rail line that is scheduled to begin service later this year. The changes:

Route 1: Extend the bus route east on Wardlow Road from Delta Avenue to the rail station at Wardlow Road and Pacific Avenue. Eliminate the route west of Delta on Wardlow.
