Hammett
(1983) A&E;, Friday at 1 p.m. An imaginary story using a pivotal year in writer Dashiell Hammett’s life does not entirely succeed, but it looks like an opium dream of a T30s detective movie. Frederic Forrest stars as Hammett, who is pulled into searching for a missing Chinese girl. Wim Wenders directed.
