‘Oh! Calcutta!’: The city of Chattanooga wants “Oh! Calcutta!,” Broadway’s long-running nude revue, to bare all somewhere else. Officials filed suit last week in Hamilton County Chancery Court to block the musical at the Tivoli Theater on grounds that it’s obscene and lewd. A Chattanooga promoter wanted to stage the play in May, but the board that runs the Tivoli voted against staging the production there. The second-longest-running Broadway musical with 5,959 performances, the show raised eyebrows and was threatened with banning when it opened in 1969.
