GREENWICH, Conn. — Most people only dream of meeting their heroes. Thirteen-year-old Ted Huffman will get to perform with his, Luciano Pavarotti, at New York’s Avery Fisher Hall.
The 13-year-old soprano from Greenwich will sing “Song of the Shepherd” from Puccini’s “Tosca” on Wednesday to open the third scene.
The performance stars Pavarotti. Huffman got a chance to meet his idol last Tuesday, when he waited backstage with 50 other fans after a Pavarotti performance at the Metropolitan Opera.
Huffman will also appear in the New York City Opera’s revival of “The Sound of Music” next month at the New York State Theater.
