Du Pont Plans to Close 2 Auto Paint Plants

WILMINGTON, Del. —
The Du Pont Co. said it plans to close two plants that supply paints for the automotive industry by early next year.
The closings of the high-performance coatings plant in Moberly, Mo., and a finishes operation plant in Parlin, N.J., will affect about 250 employees, the announcement said.
The company said the operations performed at the two plants will be moved to other facilities.
