NBC’s Andrea Mitchell Speaks at Media Awards
Andrea Mitchell, chief congresional correspondent for NBC News, will be keynote speaker at the annual awards banquet of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. KNBC’s Jess Marlow will emceee the event, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheraton Grande Hotel.
Proceeds from the dinner, which is open to the public, will go to the Helen Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The evening will include a tribute to Johnson, the producer of “Channel 4 News Conference” and associate producer of “Meet the Press”, who died last year of cancer.
