Woman Gulps Pills in Court, Is Hospitalized

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. —
A woman who told a judge: “I will not go to jail,” and swallowed a handful of pills as she was led away, was hospitalized Tuesday in critical condition, officials said.
Carol Krzyzaniak of Spring Hill, Fla., was in court under orders to come up with $2,000 or spend 179 days in jail in a guardianship mismanagement case, said Circuit Judge Richard Tombrink Jr.
