Bobby Schwartz Wins Four-Lap Scratch Main

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event Friday in the third round of the Spring Classic Motorcycle Series at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa before a crowd of 4,318.

The fourth and final round of the series will be at 8 p.m. next Saturday at the Santa Barbara Show Grounds.

Kelly Moran of Apple Valley was second, Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano third and Steve Lucero of Riverside fourth.

The point standings at the end of third round are: Schwartz 66, Moran 60, Mike Faria of Riverside 30, Charles Ermolenko of Cypress 29, Scott Brant of Costa Mesa 28.
