Raiders Deal: 'Tremendous Progress' Told

The lead negotiator for the Los Angeles Coliseum's private managers said Sunday that "tremendous progress" had been made at fashioning a new offer to Raiders owner Al Davis to keep his football team in Los Angeles.

Ed Snider, head of Spectacor Management Group, lead partner in the Coliseum private management team, said he expects to present the offer to Davis' attorneys today in advance of the noon deadline Oakland authorities have set for Davis to tell them whether he intends to return his team to Oakland.

"It's all going to be here for him if he wants it," Snider said.
