SEX, LIES & AIDS: AIDS are rising in Orange County (N2), and there’s a new sex survey out with implications for the spread of the disease. . . . It comes from researchers at UCLA and Cal State Northridge, who reached the not-too-surprising conclusion that people lie about their sexual experiences in order to have sex. . . . In the survey, 34% of the men and 10% of the women admitted having “told a lie in order to have sex.” Even more said they would lie if a situation arose in which doing so would be to their advantage. . . . Conclude the authors: “Safe-sex strategies are always advisable, despite arguments to the contrary from partners.”
