Santa Clarita Woman Dies in Head-On Crash

A woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a head-on car collision on Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita when another driver lost control of his vehicle and plowed into her automobile, California Highway Patrol officers reported.
The woman’s identity was not released, pending notification of the next of kin.
Highway Patrol officers said Francisco Macias Jr., 21, of Oxnard lost control of his car on a curve and crashed into the woman’s auto.
Macias was not hurt and had not been cited for any offense, the Highway Patrol officials said.
Bouquet Canyon Road was closed for about three hours following the accident, authorities said.
