Readers to Raiders: Here’s Your Helmet, What’s Your Hurry?
The Al Davis Raiders are on the road back to Oakland, on their way to reclaiming their blue-collar, down-and-dirty heritage of the glory days. Riiight! And the Colts could bring back the days of Johnny Unitas if only Robert Irsay would load up the moving vans and head back to Baltimore.
The more Al Davis loses, the zanier he gets. All the Raiders have needed was a tough, talented quarterback and a tough-minded owner. Another Stabler, if possible, but certainly not a Marc Wilson, Jay Schroeder or Steve Beuerlein. And certainly not a running back who plays less than half a season. Bo knows selling wolf tickets, and poor Al’s buying.
