Swedish ‘Commandos’ to Launch War on Rats

STOCKHOLM — Authorities have declared war on rats in Stockholm, where experts say there are two rats for every human, the Svenska Dagbladet daily said Friday.
The newspaper quoted officials as saying they expect it will take three years to bring the rats--about 2 million of them--under control. Starting next week, four “commando groups” will stalk the sewage system armed with rat poison.
