Guard Dale Ellis has been fined for missing the Seattle SuperSonics’ team flight to Oakland for Sunday’s game against the Warriors, but the amount of the fine was not disclosed. Ellis caught a later flight and scored 30 points in a 121-116 Sonic victory.

It was Ellis’ best performance since returning to the team March 10 after missing 27 games because of broken ribs suffered in an auto accident Jan. 12. Ellis has been charged with reckless and drunken driving in connection with the one-car accident.

As for missing Sunday’s flight, Ellis said: “I just missed the flight; those kind of things happen.”
