A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after he struck two men with his car, killing one, outside a bar.

Ruben Guzman of Escondido was arrested Tuesday night and is being held at County Jail.

Police said Guzman was harassing a woman in Audrey’s, a tavern in the 3500 block of Main Street. Witnesses told police that the woman asked several people, including Cireno Samano, 34, of Imperial Beach, and Alfredo Chavez, 33, to escort her to her car, Sgt. Jim Duncan said.

Guzman also left the bar and the three men argued, Duncan said. Guzman then got in his car and hit the two as they walked on Main Street about 9 p.m., Duncan said.
