Hey, Mr. Postman: The Postal Service today will issue four commemorative stamps featuring scenes from the classic films “Gone With the Wind,” “Stagecoach,” “The Wizard of Oz” and Gary Cooper’s “Beau Geste.” The 25-cent stamps, which will be on sale in Hollywood today and in the rest of the country on Saturday, mark the 50th anniversary of each film’s having received Academy Award nominations and are being issued as a prelude to Monday’s 62nd annual Academy Awards. The stamps, which are made to resemble miniature movie posters, are designed by Thomas Blackshear, who also designed this year’s stamp honoring civil rights leader Ida B. Wells.
