The University of Colorado has asked four college coaches, including Cal State Long Beach’s Joe Harrington, to interview for the school’s basketball coaching job, according to published reports.

Harrington, who also is under consideration for the University of Miami coaching job, was expected to stop over in Denver or Boulder for an interview with CU officials on his way back to the West Coast from Miami, the Rocky Mountain News reported. The Denver Post reported that the three other candidates for the position left vacant by the firing of Tom Miller are Eastern Washington’s Bob Hofman, New Mexico State’s Neil McCarthy and Arkansas Little Rock’s Mike Newell.
