Praise for Coverage of Malibu Cityhood

We are writing to tell you how pleased we are with the fine job Ron Russell is doing in reporting the Malibu cityhood effort. Frankly, we would have complained if he had done a poor job, so it’s only fair that we write to commend him for a good job.

We appreciate the accuracy, readability and thoroughness of his coverage and especially like the way he recaps in each article our lengthy struggle with the Board of Supervisors just to obtain an opportunity to vote on cityhood. We are also pleased that he considers cityhood for Malibu worthy of all the time he’s spent in covering the many hearings that have been held.

Your paper and Ron play a vital role in this effort, in both helping keep residents informed of what is happening, and in focusing the attention of the rest of the community on the treatment we have received at the hands of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
