Pathe Communications Corp.: The Los Angeles entertainment firm, which is in the middle of a $1.2-billion bid for MGM/UA Communications Corp., said it lost $32.4 million in 1989, contrasted with a profit of $21.4 million in 1988. Revenue in 1989 totaled $349.5 million, down 6% from the year before. The 1989 results include a $55.9-million gain from the sale of European theater assets.
