An Inglewood teen-ager was shot to death and his sister was injured in an apparent gang-related shooting Tuesday evening, police said.
Roberto Macias, 15, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mona Macias, 22, was treated for a minor injury at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Hawthorne.
The brother and sister had left a liquor store near Grevillea Avenue and Century Boulevard at about 6:10 p.m. when a man on foot shouted gang slogans at them as they entered a car. When the pair drove off, a car parked across the street from the store followed them.
One of the passengers of the second car fired a shotgun at the victims, causing Roberto Macias to lose control of the vehicle he was driving. The gunman then got out of the car, ran up to the victims and fired two more shots at him. Police said no suspects had been arrested.
