Culver City : Studio Expansion OKd

The redevelopment agency on Monday approved plans for a three-story, Colonial-style office building that would be an expansion to the Culver Studios.

The proposed 62,000-square-foot building will be constructed at 3930 Ince Blvd., across the street from the main studio lot, where “Gone With the Wind” was filmed.

The design of the 43-foot-high building will copy elements from the green and white Southern-mansion facade of the studio’s administration building that faces Washington Boulevard.

A 2 1/2-floor underground parking lot will provide spaces for 450 cars, according to a staff report.
